Hello & Welcome
You have probably found yourself here after clicking the link on my Twitter profile, now your probably regretting coming here but wait... have a look around! I originally created this website just so that I had something to put as my website address on twitter, makes me feel more professional that way you see. I also made this site as a bit of practise for my university work, so if your thinking I am a bit of a 'sad act' then your probably right, I'm just passionate about my club.
My short Twitter profile description is "Manchester City Supporter, Field Hockey Player, UFC Fan, Imagineer, Playstation User, Future IT Professional, Amateur Sports Analyst and All-Round Good Guy! GTL" which basically sums me up perfectly, if you want to know more about me read on...

About Me
Hello, my name is Andy and I am from Manchester. The picture you can see is of me when I was just a little nipper back in infant school, I was so cute back then (apparently), don't know what happened! These days I am a bit different, my mind has stayed the same just I have grown a bit taller. Since leaving school in 2003 I have worked in sports retail, I have been in the industry for years now and have kind of become attached to the place, I will be sad the day I have to leave.
I chose Information Technology as my career path after leaving school and have been studying the subject since. I recently gained my degree in Applied Computing and am now looking to find a career, although this probably seems boring to you its kind of exciting to me. If you are currently recruiting within a computer based business give my curriculum vitae a look over, can't hurt.

Manchester City
As you will probably already know my true passion is football, in particular Manchester City. My favourite player is Vincent Kompany, his attitude & professionalism is something to be admired by both City fans and neutrals alike. The amount of money these Premier League players make is ridiculous sp to see someone actually earning their money is refreshing. As a Manchester City fan I have seen some dreadful players over the years, player like Ousmane Dabo who insisted on kicking the ball vertically every-time he touched it and Christian Negouai who actually couldn't play football with his feet. On the other hand I have also seen some greats, Georgi Kinkladze is a prime example of a truly gifted footballer and more recently Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Joe Hart who are great footballers in their own right.
As a City fan I have suffered great disappointment over the years with semi-final defeats to local rivals (not mentioning any names) and missing out on Champions League places to Tottenham Hotspur but things are now looking up. With new owners and a new manager at the helm, things have changed. First of all we won the FA Cup & now, most impressively, we have won the Premier League. CHAMPIONS!

Field Hockey
I have been playing field hockey now since I was 9 years old, although its not the most popular sport in the United Kingdom its bigger than you think. It has the third most participants of any sport in the world, first being Football and second being mostly boring Cricket. Next your going to tell me that its a girls sport, if you were in America then you would be right but in most countries it is played mostly by men. I challenge you to have a solid ball smashed at you from 5 yards and then tell me its a girls sport, lol! I have played for Urmston Hockey Club throughout my 'career' and plan on doing so for many years to come. I first started playing hockey through the recommendation of my current manager Derek Milne, he found me messing around on a car park with a shopping trolley and suggested I tried doing something worthwhile with my time. Since that day I have never looked back and enjoy playing every week, Urmston are always looking for new players so should you be reading this and are interested, check out our website or contact me.
The picture you can see (left) is me during the 2010/11 season playing against Blackburn Hockey Club who at the time were top of the table. I play in midfield and have over 100 appearances for my club.

UFC ®
Like many I have never even attempted Mixed Martial Arts, but I am a huge fan of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. I started watching the UFC events religiously in 2009 with UFC 95 Sanchez vs. Stevenson. I loved the fact that it wasn't shown as regularly as football and the buzz you got from the live events late at night. Diego Sanchez quickly became one of my favourite fighters due to his fighting style, he fought as if his life depended on winning and his fights were more exciting to watch because of it. His fight against Clay Guida in The Ultimate Fighter Finale is one of the best I have seen yet and if you have not seen it yourself you can do so here.
My overall favourite fighter is Rashad Evans (pictured right), he became my favourite after his spell on The Ultimate Fighter. His personality and fighting style are the main reasons he is my favourite, he is not arrogant but is confident and is not overly gung-ho but is aggressive. He was on a 13 fight unbeaten streak but unfortunately was beaten by Lyoto Machida via knock out, since then he has won 4 & lost 1 which was an important title fight :( His biggest rival is the fighter and now A-Team actor, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson who was the coach of the rival team during TUF 10!
