My Best Formation & Line-Up
This is Manchester City's best formation & line-up in my opinion, it is a balance of what we have now & what we want to develop in the future. Although players such as Richards & Adam Johnson are not the best around at the moment, there is the potential for them to be such players. The only way for these players to reach their potential is by playing games & experiencing football first hand, this allows just that.
GK. Hart - The future of England & Manchester City in the goalkeeper department.
DR. Richards - Young, strong & quick. Constantly improving each game.
DC. Kompany - City's most consistent & passionate player, one of the best.
DC. K Toure - Replacement needed for the 11/12 season but decent at the moment. Disappointed for him with the drugs test but on his way out anyway career-wise.
DL. Kolarov - Good at attacking but weak in defence, seriously needs to improve & quickly. Seems lazy at times. Clichy could replace him, you heard it here first!!!
DMC. De Jong - Can create space & break up play, one of the best in the world.
MC. Y Toure - Intelligent, huge & direct. He is a box-to-box midfielder, ideal role.
AML. Silva - Free to roam, amazing vision & City's most creative player. Amazing!
AMR. A Johnson - Drifts in & out of games but running at defenders is his speciality. Most effective at home, see him more as an impact player away, future of England?
FC. Tevez - Deep lying forward always ready to pounce, great on the ball. Captain!
ST. Balotelli - Still unsure on Balotelli but his ability in front of goal has already been seen in a City shirt. He needs time & games. Could be one of the best around.

Manchester City - What Next?
It's obvious that Manchester City's current selection headache is a blessing not a burden, over previous seasons the best first eleven has often emerged and been easy to pick. This all changed they day Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan & Khaldoon Al Mubarak took over at the club, along with their plan came almost unlimited funds which ultimately will shape the future of City from this day forward. Having already signed players such as Carlos Tevez, David Silva and Yaya Toure many more are thought to be on their way, exciting as this sounds is this really the best thing for Manchester City?
In my personal opinion its a question that cannot be answered, this is football and everything within football is based upon a theory. Who's theory is right and who's is wrong, well it depends upon the circumstances but who defines the circumstances... the list of theories and questions goes on and on and ultimately you will never arrive at an answer you know to be correct.
What I do know is how much Manchester City have improved during this period, during the 09/10 season City finished in a record 5th position within the Barclay's Premier League. The 10/11 season has constantly been an improvement on the previous having been in the top four throughout and if this is anything to go by, the theory of steady progression means we will win the league during the 13/14 Premier League season.... Fingers crossed!

Potential Manchester City Line-Up in 2016
Although this line-up is highly unlikely in 2016, it is possible. City's oldest player then would be Nigel De Jong at the ripe old age of just 30, closely followed by Vincent Kompany, David Silva & Aleksandar Kolarov at 29. It is surprising to me at how much this team has hardly changed compared to my current best eleven. Only the inclusion of Michael Johnson, Dedryck Boyata & Edin Dzeko has changed seeing the Toure brothers out along with current captain fantastic Carlos Tevez who will no doubt be retired and living in a mansion somewhere in Argentina in 2016.
This highlights exactly how young the current Manchester City side is, I cannot personally think of a recent time when a team so young has been successful. Manchester United, Chelsea & even Portsmouth have won things of late and they all had one thing in common, ageing players. Arsenal are the most similar side to City at the moment and they are currently struggling to win a trophy, but there time will come I am sure and hopefully so will ours.
